Our Story

We took the shortcuts out.

Somewhere along the way, fast food stopped being food. Seed oils replaced tallow. Corn syrup crept into everything. Buns came frozen off a truck and beef came with a list of ingredients you needed a chemist to read.

Tallow House is founder Nathan Zakkas’s answer to that. One simple promise: real food, cooked the old way.

Grass-fed beef. Sourdough baked daily. Fries fried in beef tallow. Nothing you can't pronounce.

Fast doesn’t mean fake.

Every patty is grass-fed and smashed crisp to order on the flat-top. Our buns are sourdough, baked locally, every single day. Our fries are hand-cut and fried in 100% beef tallow, the way fries were made before anyone decided cheaper was better.

No seed oils. No corn syrup. No mystery ingredients. Just simple, honest, insanely good food that happens to be fast.

When we sell out, we sell out

We make what we can make well, and when it's gone for the day, it's gone. We don't cut corners to stretch it. That's why folks check our Instagram before they drive over, and why some of them drive more than an hour to get here. It's worth it. We hear that a lot.
